Pleura & Pleuroscopy course 2010

Course Description
Controversies in pleural disease management, imaging, and diagnostic
tests will be reviewed by experts in lively pro-con debates. As 2010
marks a hundred years since the inception of thoracoscopy by
Jacobaeus, the symposium will dedicate a full day to pleuroscopy
with didactic lectures and hands-on training on models and animals.
Different techniques of pleuroscopy using the flex-rigid and rigid
instruments as well as video-assisted thoracic surgery will be
demonstrated.
Who should attend?
Specialists and trainees in Pulmonary Medicine, Oncology, Thoracic
Surgery and Internal Medicine as well as Allied Health interested in
pleuroscopy. CME points will be awarded.
